ABOUT THE FLORIDA LEAGUE

The Florida Collegiate Summer League (Florida League) is a summer wood bat baseball league with six teams in Central Florida. Founded in 2003, the Florida League provides a valuable opportunity for college players to play wood bat baseball against top-level competition with the goal of preparing them for a career in professional baseball.
The Florida League is one of 12 leagues affiliated with the National Alliance of College Summer Baseball (www.NACSB.org) – an alliance of college summer wood bat leagues which follows NCAA legislation. It is funded in part by Major League Baseball and is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation that is primarily dependent on donations from individuals, fundraisers, businesses and foundations in each team’s community.
Recognizing a need for a prominent high school tournament in Florida on a national level, we began running this tournament in 2008.
Our goal is to provide a professionally run tournament while offering top-class exposure to scouts and college coaches for our participating teams. Additionally, players receive exposure to the six Florida League teams. With a humble understanding that the teams that participate are choosing to spend spring break with us, we are focused on ensuring all of our teams have a great experience.
